City of Keokuk Community Development Director Position:
The City of Keokuk is taking applications for a full-time Community Development Director position. The Community Development Director serves as the City’s lead authority on land use, zoning administration, long-range City development, and building inspections. The Community Development Director is responsible for managing and coordinating planning, building, zoning, and land-use functions for the City. This role includes policy development and implementation, ordinance administration, long-range planning, permit review and inspection, staff supervision, and interaction with elected officials, boards, applicants, and the public. The position also oversees the City’s Housing and Code Enforcement staff. The position plays a central role in guiding community growth, ensuring consistency with comprehensive plans and Chapter 414 of the Iowa Code.
This position is an on-site role and requires regular attendance in the office.

City of Keokuk Project Coordinator Position:
The City of Keokuk is taking applications for a full-time Project Coordinator position. We are looking for a person ready to become the “go-to” individual for information dissemination for our community. This position performs complex and responsible administrative and clerical duties for employees in the Development and Public Works Departments. Main duties include staffing the main public counter, answering phones, maintaining schedules, files, and reports; maintaining invoices, permits, and inspection data and social media sites, and other office and department duties; tracking receipts, expenses and budgets; tracking and billing for gas purchases across multiple entities, providing support to staff as well as City commissions and Boards for public meetings; coordinating events; maintaining web-based systems and programs; providing information and assistance to citizens, City staff, Commissions and Boards, and the media regarding Development/Inspections, Public Works, and Parks & Recreation matters.
This position is an on-site role and requires regular attendance in the office.
